If your rockspace range extender keeps losing connection and you are having a bad Wi-Fi experience, you can try the following methods to fix the issue.
Troubleshoot rockspace extender keeps disconnecting
1. Connect to the network
Make sure your range extender is powered on and it is within the wireless range of the router and your computer/smartphone is connected to the extended network.
2. Check if your router and range extender use the same SSID (network name)
Using the same SSID for both of your devices will lead to an unstable connection. If you’ve set up your range extender with the same SSID as the current network, reconfigure your range extender and create a different SSID. Visit should a Wi-Fi range extender use the same SSID (network name) as the existing router for more information.
3. Check the Signal LED of your range extender
If the LED is off or orange/red, move your range extender closer to the router.
4. Update the firmware
Go to the address http://re.rockspace.local or http://www.rockspacewifi.com and log into the range extender’s management page. Check if the range extender has the latest firmware. If not, update to the latest version. Visit how do I update the firmware of rockspace AX1800 Wi-Fi Range Extender if you have problems.
5. Reset to factory default settings
